Admission Guidelines 2024

  1. ಪ್ರಕೃತ ಗುರುಕುಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಋಗ್ವೇದ ಸಲಕ್ಷಣ ಘನಾಂತ ಪಾಠ ಮಾತ್ರ ಅಧ್ಯಯನಾವಕಾಶ.
  2. ಗುರುಕುಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಪಾಠಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಅನುಸರಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು .
  3. ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ತ್ರಿಕಾಲ ಸಂಧ್ಯಾವಂದನೆ, ಅಗ್ನಿಕಾರ್ಯಗಳು ಕಡ್ಡಾಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
  4. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯು ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣ ಕುಟುಂಬದವನಾಗಿರಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಮೂದಿತ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅವಶ್ಯವಿದ್ದರೆ ಒದಗಿಸಬೇಕು.
  5. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯು ವಯಸ್ಸು 8 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ 11 ವರ್ಷದೊಳಗಿರಬೇಕು.
  6. ಯಾವುದೇ ರೀತಿಯ ತೀವ್ರ ರೀತಿಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ, ದೈಹಿಕ ಅನಾರೋಗ್ಯವಂತನಾಗಿರಬಾರದು.
  7. ಗುರುಕುಲ ಪ್ರವೇಶದ ನಂತರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯು ಪೋಷಕರನ್ನೊಳಗೊಂಡು ಯಾವುದೇ ರೀತಿಯ ಅಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ, ಅನಾಚಾರಾದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವರ್ತಿಸಬಾರದು.
  8. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಸಮಾಪ್ತಿಯವರೆಗೆ ಮನೆಯ ಹೊರಗಿನ ಆಹಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಬಾರದು.
  9. ಸನಾತನ ವಸ್ತ್ರ ಸಂಹಿತೆ, ಶಿಖೆಗಳನ್ನು ತ್ಯಜಿಸಬಾರದು.
  10. ಗುರುಕುಲದ ಗೌರವಕ್ಕೆ ಧಕ್ಕೆಯಾಗದಂತೆ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.
  11. ಗುರುಕುಲದಿಂದ ಸೂಚಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಸೂಚನೆ ನಿಬಂಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡ್ಡಾಯವಾಗಿ ಪಾಲಿಸಬೇಕು.
  12. ಉದ್ದೇಶಿತ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಅಧ್ಯಯನವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಗಿತಗೊಳಿಸಬಾರದು.
  13. ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅಧ್ಯಯನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕಾರ ಬೇಕಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುರುಕುಲದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಬೇಕು.
  14. ವಾರ್ಷಿಕವಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗಳು ಮಾತ್ರ ರಜೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗುವುದು (ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯ ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ)
  15. ಅವಶ್ಯಕ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುಕುಲದ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕರೇ ನೀಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಭೇದವಿಲ್ಲದಿರಲು ಈ ತೀರ್ಮಾನವಾಗಿದೆ.
  16. ಪೂರ್ವಾನುಮತಿಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಗುರುಕುಲದ ಭೇಟಿಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶವಿಲ್ಲ.
  17. ತಿಂಗಳ ಅಮಾವಾಸ್ಯೆಯ ದಿನ ಅಥವಾ ಮರುದಿನ ದೂರವಾಣಿಯ ಮೂಲಕ 5 ನಿಮಿಷ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯನ್ನು ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ.
  18. ಯಾವುದೇ ರೀತಿಯ ಸಂದೇಹಗಳಿಗೆ, ತೊಂದರೆಗಳಿಗೆ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕರನ್ನು ನೇರ ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಿ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಅವಕಾಶವಿದೆ.

Course and Curriculum:

  • Vedanada Gurukula at present offers  Rigveda Salakshana Ghananta Patha. The course is expected to be for a duration of 12 years. A detailed year by year coverage is given on the website.
  • Traditional curriculum and method of teaching will be followed in the Gurukula by acclaimed Acharyas.
  • Gurukula will provide necessary books and materials for study.
  • Examinations will be conducted at declared intervals in an open and transparent manner and certificates will be awarded.
  • Education, food, and accommodation will be  provided free of cost.
  • Students will receive a stipend upon completion of certain courses { After completion of Samhita – Rs 25000/-, after completion of Krama – Rs 50000/- and  after completion of Ghana Rs 100000/-
 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicant should belong to a Brahmin family  following necessary Acharam (tradition)
  • Applicant should be between  the age 8 to 11 years old and Upanayana samskaram should have been completed.
  • Students should not be suffering from any severe /chronic mental or physical illness.
  • Should be able to provide necessary documents /IDs as and when required.
  • Parents and Applicant should assure that they will try their level best to ensure that the student  will complete the course and the study will not be interrupted.
 

Rules and Regulations:

  • Trikala Sandhyavandana and Agnikaryas are mandatory during the study period.
  • Students must follow proper dress code (Sanatana vastra and Sikha)
  • Students are expected to observe strict spiritual and Acharam practices and must refrain from Anachara practices (improper) while in Gurukula and when they go home during holidays
  • Acceptance of food from outside (i.e except from Patasala/home ) is strictly prohibited during the course of study.
  • Students should adhere to strict code of conduct and ensure that the honor and reputation of the Gurukula is maintained.
  • Students must follow instructions prescribed by the Gurukula authorities without exception.
  • Only one month leave will be granted annually, except in exceptional circumstances.
  • Parents/Relatives are permitted to visit Gurukula upon invitation or with prior permission.
  • Students and parents are permitted to have telephonic contact each month ,for 5 minutes on the Amavasa day(new moon day) of the month or the next day. 
  • Parents should note that all authentic information about Gurukula should be obtained from  Gurukula authorities only .

ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ವಿಧಾನ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಯಮಗಳು

Examination System

  1. ಪ್ರತೀ ವರ್ಷ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳು ಇರುತ್ತದೆ.
  2. ವೇದ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯು ಮೌಖಿಕವಾಗಿಯೂ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳು ಲಿಖಿತ ರೂಪವಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರುತ್ತವೆ.
  3. ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳು : 3 ವಿಧ 1) ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ, 2) ಮೂಲಾಂತ, ಕ್ರಮಾಂತ, ಘನಾಂತ (4 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಗೊಮ್ಮೆ) 3) ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ.
  4. ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯು ಪ್ರಕೃತ ಸಂವತ್ಸರದ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ.
  5. 3 ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗಿಗಳಾದವರಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಪೂರ್ತಿ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಕಾಶ.
  6. 4 ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಗೊಮ್ಮೆ ನಡೆಸುವ ಪೂರ್ಣ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪತ್ರ, ಬಹುಮಾನ ನೀಡಲಾಗುವುದು.
  7. ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಪಾರದರ್ಶಕವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
  8. ಪರೀಕ್ಷಕರು ಅನ್ಯರಾಜ್ಯದ 2, ರಾಜ್ಯದ 1, ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ 1 ಜನರಿರುವ ಒಂದು ಸಮೂಹ.
    1. ಪಾರಂಪರಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಗೌರವ ಹೊಂದಿದವರಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
    2. ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನವಂತರಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
    3. ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗತ ಯಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಗತ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಗೊಳಪಟ್ಟಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ .
  9. ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳು ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಭಯಗಳಿಂದ ಮುಕ್ತವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
  10. ಪ್ರತಿ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ದಿನಾಂಕ ಪೂರ್ವ ನಿರ್ಧಾರಿತವಾಗಿದ್ದು ನಿರ್ಣಾಯಕ ದಿನ  ಸಮಯಗಳ ಕಡ್ಡಾಯ ಪಾಲನೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
  11. ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾರ್ಥಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯು ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಒತ್ತಡ ಅಥವಾ ದೈಹಿಕ ಅನಾರೋಗ್ಯವಂತನಾಗಿರಬಾರದು.
  12. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯು ಯಾವುದೇ ವಿಧವಾದ ನ್ಯೂನತೆ (ತೊದಲು ನುಡಿ, ಉಗ್ಗಳಿಕೆ, ಮರೆಗುಳಿತನ)ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದರೆ ಮುಂಚಿತವಾಗಿ ಅರ್ಜಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಮೂದಿಸಲ್ಪಡಬೇಕು.
  13. ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆಯನ್ನು ಮನಗಂಡು ಪೋಷಕರ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ಅನುಮತಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
  14. ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾರ್ಥಿ, ಪರೀಕ್ಷಕರ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ಅನ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ಕೊಠಡಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ನಿರ್ಬಂಧವಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
  15. ಫಲಿತಾಂಶವನ್ನು ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರು ನಿಗದಿತ ದಿನ ಅಧಿಕೃತವಾಗಿ ಘೋಷಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.

At Vedanada Gurukula, we take pride in upholding a rigorous yet fair examination system, ensuring the reliability and transparency of the assessment process. 

  • Examinations will be conducted annually even though assessment is a continuous process.
  • Annual examinations focus solely on the study section of the current academic year.
  • There are three categories of examinations, two of them conducted by our Gurukula.
  • Annual Examinations
  • Module completion examinations Moolanta, Kramanta, Ghananta (once every 4 years)
  • Public Examinations conducted by various reputed institutions. (Students will be encouraged to appear for such examinations which add  experience and value to students)
  • External candidates who have studied in some other Paatasala can also appear for public examinations conducted by Gurukula, thereby promoting collaboration.
  • Only those who have participated in at least three annual examinations of the Gurukula will be eligible  to participate in module completion examination.
  • Certificates and monetary awards shall be given upon successful module completion, acknowledging their dedication.
  • Additional attention and focus shall be given to those who do not attain a pass grade.
  • Vedic examinations will be conducted orally, while Sanskrit examinations will be in written mode.
  • Exams shall be conducted in a transparent and fair manner. 
  • A panel of 4 examiners, 1 from each southern state and 1 from the institution shall oversee the examination.
  • Our Gurukula’s focus is pursuit and maintenance of Vedic knowledge  and therefore the examinations will be  in alignment with that objective.
  • Examinations will be conducted objectively without fear or favor and without personal or institutional bias and without any partiality.
  • Examinations shall be conducted at pre-determined examination dates and strict adherence to date/time will be expected.
  • If a student has any disability mental or physical at the time of going for examinations, the same should be intimated to the Gurukula.
  • Parental support is permitted when necessary but not during the examination time.
  • Official results shall be announced by the institution only on the appointed day.
